Drink of the Week for Jul 5th, 2002: California Lemonade

What we had to say

We took yesterday off. So did you. So did our email. But if it's hot and sunny wherever you may be, then make some lemonade and sit out on the porch watching the gir... er, world go by. We doubt this was invented in California, but it seems more summery to call it that then, say, "Alaska Lemonade". Plus it seems less likely to invoke a polar bear attack.

Ingredients

How to Make It

Shake all ingredients except carbonated water in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a collins glass filled with shaved ice. Fill with carbonated water. Stir and garnish with a lemon and an orange slice.
