Drink of the Week for Nov 21st, 2003: California Gold Rush

What we had to say

It's that time again, where we send you a drink and some meaningless babble that occasionally tests well with Dennis Miller. Note that if you are using an AOL email address, this might be the first time in a while that you've received Drink of the Week. AOL apparently has been blocking us from sending mail to you to for the last who-knows-how-long. But good will always triumph over AOL, because AOL is dumb.

We here at Drinknation are pretty tired of advertising. What with MBNA phoning us every two hours to triple-check that we've heard about their latest credit card offer, and the onset of horrible, borrible Christmas jingles developed by people in suits whose only skills are wearing suits all day, and maybe operating a telephone, as long as it's not one of those fancy ones with a menu and call forwarding, because those are really hard. Next year, if we're going to start the Christmas advertising before Halloween, we want to see Santa Claus duke it out with vampires and goblins on network television in an ultimate pay-per-view battle royale to determine the leverage potential of global turn-key markets. If we were ever to advertise on TV, you can bet that's the kind of show we'd be interested in. Also, we'd want Santa to have a machine gun.

In light of all that, we will now plug these cool martini glasses and tell you to buy them. We don't have goblins or Santa or global turn-key markets, but these are cool glasses, and they make most excellent gifts. Check 'em out here and enjoy this week's drink!
