Drink of the Week for Nov 18th, 2004: Blue Ice #2

What we had to say

Amongst the multitudes of fan mail we get each week here at Drinknation from our loyal supporters (we are big with the "refinance your home" and "all-natural herbal enlargement" demographics), we occasionally get asked how we manage to find inspiration for our Drink of the Week topics. It's not easy, but we'll try to explain anyway. First of all, we find a spiritual muse, something that lightens the soul and inspires creative beauty. Ha ha ha! Just kidding! Basically we find something stupid, then make fun of it. It's very easy, since the world provides us with so much source material. For instance, take our fan mail. Have you ever tried to answer an email that was written to you like this one: "omg u guys r teh awesome!1!! give me a recipe 2 pls luv dc"? It's near impossible. Not only is the grammar barely discernible, but there is no sign of recognizable vernacular. Or intelligence. We could make fun of this person all day, except that it was from dick_cheney@whitehouse.gov, so we felt that it was unnecessary. So you see how easy it is? Our spiritual muse includes coffee, doughnuts, the newspaper, and as always, this week's drink.

Oh, and Dick Cheney too.
