Drink of the Week for Dec 11th, 2005: Why Santa Has A Naughty List

What we had to say

Once again, it's the time of year that is heralded by piney portents and their prestigious parables. And we're not talking about gin. Here at Drinknation, we like to break out the Christmas-themed beverages while we set up for the season. You might see this as mixing work with pleasure, since we are actually looking for good drinks to send to you, our thirsty holiday readers. In our line of work however, sometimes business is pleasure. Unless it's like last year, when we had too many overproof rum 'n eggnogs and tried to see just how many lights we could cram onto a tree. That sort of accidentally turned into a test of the flame retardant properties of fake trees versus real ones. Apparently the fire department isn't as jolly as certain other figures of the season. We figure we might still be in the good books with the kindly old elf this year though, since we left out some of the eggnog for him. As for you, your Christmas presents from us are pretty much the same thing you get every week, except we're tossing out festively-themed recipes from now until the end of the year. So drop by, browse the Christmas drinks, and try to get your shopping done early.
