Original Mai Tai Drink Recipe

Double Old Fashioned glassDouble Old Fashioned glass

Drink Colour:



  • 1 oz. Rum, Jamaican (Appleton Estates)
  • 1/2 oz. Curacao, orange
  • 1 oz. Rum, dark (Saint James Hors D'Age)
  • 1 whole Cherries/Maraschinos
  • 1 whole (juice of whole) Lime
  • 1 piece (sprig) Mint
  • 1 piece (fresh spear) Pineapple
  • 1/2 oz. Orgeat Syrup
  • 2 tsp. Sugar Syrup

Mixing Instructions

Shake ingredients in a cocktail shaker with cracked ice. Pour into glass and garnish with pineapple, cherry and mint sprig. Add half a lime shell for color.
