Drink of the Week for Jun 21st, 2001: Surfer On Acid
What we had to say
This drink is gaining in popularity all across the country, thanks to an underground movement of Alaskan penguin spies bent on forcing everyone to take the day off work. Despite being penguins, they are quite capable of operating a printing press with little or no hindrance from the lack of opposable thumbs, and often produce quality propaganda which we deny any connection to but fully support. Here is a quick sample:
"Work is for when it's dark out!"
"Everyone should live on a beach. That's where the sand is."
"There's enough time for sleeping when you're dead!", and
"Why buy vitamin D when the sun is giving it away for free?"
We think they took that last one from a Toyota commercial, but maybe it's the other way around. In any case, to support their movement we proclaim every week of the summer as the official Drinknation Holiday Week. To commemorate said holiday, we encourage you to quit your job, drink Surfer's on Acid, and laugh mightily as you gaze upon your lot. Well, at least do the drinking and laughing part.
