Feb 14th, 2018Online this seems to be a popular recipe, but all of the blind Russians I've ever had are just a white Russian with substituting Bailey's Irish Cream for the half n half cream. So the recipe is: equal parts Vodka, Kahlua, and Bailey's over ice. Might be potent at first sip. Let the ice melt a bit and it becomes delicious. Blind because it's all alcohol.

Jan 20th, 2012That's a nice looking concoction there, but it's not a Blind Russian. I don't know what it is, but it's not a Blind Russian. A Blind Russian is simply a White Russian that substitutes Irish Cream for the milk or cream. It's "blind" because, having only alcoholic ingredients, it supposedly knocks you out faster from fewer drinks, thus leaving you "blind". I'm not knocking this drink, it's just titled incorrectly.
