Martini (Extra Dry) Drink Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 oz. Gin
- 1 tsp. Vermouth, dry
- 1 whole Olive
How to Make It
- Add a teaspoon of vermouth to a cocktail glass and swish to cover the glass. Discard the excess vermouth.
- Add the gin.
- Garnish with one or two olives on a pick.
Preparation notes
- There is variation in recipes as to how much vermouth is considered "extra dry". Some recipes declare it to be a single drop of vermouth, or even no vermouth. Some differentiate between "bone dry" and "extra dry", although these definitions vary as well. If you have a preference when ordering, make sure to be clear about how much vermouth you're expecting.

Jan 28th, 2014No ice, just chill all the ingredients ahead of time including the olive.

Nov 25th, 2012Gin,really,then 1 tsp. Vermouth. That's not extra dry that's soaking wet. Should use 2-3 oz. Vodka then a light mist of Dry Vermouth. Add 1 or 2 olives to taste.
