Ingredients

How to Make It

  1. Add a teaspoon of vermouth to a cocktail glass and swish to cover the glass. Discard the excess vermouth.
  2. Add the gin.
  3. Garnish with one or two olives on a pick.

Preparation notes

  • There is variation in recipes as to how much vermouth is considered "extra dry". Some recipes declare it to be a single drop of vermouth, or even no vermouth. Some differentiate between "bone dry" and "extra dry", although these definitions vary as well. If you have a preference when ordering, make sure to be clear about how much vermouth you're expecting.

No ice, just chill all the ingredients ahead of time including the olive.

Gin,really, then 1 tsp. Vermouth. That's not extra dry that's soaking wet. Should use 2-3 oz. Vodka then a light mist of Dry Vermouth. Add 1 or 2 olives to taste.
