  I recently re-watched The Big Lebowski during a long haul flight and The Dude simply mixed the drink in the glass. He never used a shaker and, quite honestly, I can't imagine him having the time for one. He did seem to get plenty of the drink in his facial hair, however!

  Ideally, this drink should be made with nearly-expired half-and-half which you opened the carton of in the supermarket to smell it and make sure it was good.

  @jake When he is at Maude's place with the film director, i think he does vodka, kahlua, and adds sugar rather than cream. I may have to watch it again.
