Drink of the Week for Nov 22nd, 2001: Hokkaido Cocktail
What we had to say
The Japanese knew what they were doing when they invented Saké (if you've never had it, for the love of puppies, take a wander down to your nearest Japanese restaurant and order some steaming Saké with a nice meal... life's too short to miss stuff like this. And you do love puppies, don't you?) In turn, the Dutch knew what they were doing when they invented Gin. And whoever invented this recipe, knew exactly what they were doing when they mixed them together.
This drink is very smooth and very tasty, and that's all you really need if you're a martini. It's not very often you find a mixed drink recipe with Saké involved... with drinks like this as the result, we're forced to wonder why.
