How to Make It

This variation of a classic Manhattan uses Amaro instead of vermouth, and some additional bitters. The result is an earthier, heavier and more herbal drink than its more famous cousin.

  1. Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker or mixing glass.
  2. Add ice and stir until chilled.
  3. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Add a brandied cherry for garnish.
