a splash of sprite is also a great addition. you can also shake and strain with a red peppermint or a green mint/candycane to make three different colored drinks. red, white (not shaken with a mint), and green. very festive!! the crushed up candy cane rim also does add a unique look!

I loved it..I put a little broken up pieces of the candy cane in the shaker with the schnapps, vodka and ice and let it sit for a while. The candy cane turned the martini pink. It was pretty and delicious...Have made a few batches and gave the recipe to make to several friends and they all loved it

I made this drink last night...tested it out before I shared it with friends...whoa! Is it strong. So what I did is, added a half shot of Creme da Cacao, and a splash of club /seltzer soda water. Much better...I also used Vampire Vodka to make it more festive.

I found candy can flavored pop-rocks to use on the rim of the glass. Not only does it add to the flavor, but it gives a "pop" to the drink :-)

Just another idea for the drink....Crush up the candy cane & dip the rim of glass in it. Makes for a festive look along with the great flavor!!!
