Ingredients

  • 6 oz. Ginger Beer
  • 2 oz. Vodka
  • 1 oz. (Fresh squeezed) Lime Juice

How to Make It

  1. Add ice to a copper mug.
  2. Squeeze half a lime into the mug, and then add the lime itself.
  3. Add vodka and stir
  4. Fill the rest of the mug with ginger beer.

This drink is traditionally served in copper mugs. You can substitute lime cordial for fresh lime juice if you must.

    1 oz of Ginger beer? Those proportions for the mix are not right. 2 to 1 on the lime is right, but your supposed to top that off with ginger beer in a high ball and more then one oz of it for sure.

    One of my best friends used to make this drink for me...when we were stationed in Corpus Christi, TX!! It was soooo good..especially in the hot and humid climate!! LOVE IT!

    I saw Ginger Beer at the corner store and bought some since it reminded me of Mom. She used a copper mug, I don't have one. Shot of vodka, some ice, filled up with ginger beer and about 3 slices of lime squeezed on in. I have very bad memories of Rose's lime. Delightfully refreshing - my 2 friends totally agreed!!
